Today in class we learned about determinants. A determinant is a special number associated with any square matrix (square matrix meaning the matrix has the same number of rows as it does columns). We took the first half of notes for section 3.7 and will learn more uses for matrices this coming Thursday. The students were given a worksheet as their homework assignment. If they lost their worksheet there is an alternate book assignment they may substitute.
Homework: worksheet 3.7 #1-6 all and #11 show your work!
