This week we are wrapping up Chapter 1.  We are taking a quiz tomorrow which will cover the last half of chapter 1 with topics including:

• Problem Solving Methods
• Using a verbal model
• drawing a diagram
• finding a pattern
• Inequalities
• Graphing inequalities
• solving compound inequalities
• Absolute value problems
• Solving absolute value equations (2 answers!)
• Solving absolute value inequalities (2 answers!)
• Graphing absolute value inequalities (Know AND or OR)

We will also be taking the chapter 1 test this week.  The chapter 1 test covers the above topics as well as:

• Plotting real numbers on a number line
• Unit conversion
• Solving linear equations 
• Simplifying expressions (collecting like terms)
• Solving for a given variable (i.e. solve 3x+2y=9 for y)

All late/missing homework for Chapter 1 is due by Friday.  Powerschool should be updated this week so that you are aware of what is missing.  Good luck with the quizzes and tests this week folks!  New topics here we come!
