Today in class we had a warm-up with fractions. Just to keep the skills ready because fractions are everywhere!!! We checked the homework from yesterday and did worked out any problems that we needed to see on the board.
We are working on groupwork and helping our peers. In our table groups today we began a worksheet that we will turn in tomorrow. The worksheets will be graded as a group grade. This means that each student needs to ask his/her groupmates and/or me for help on problems they are unsure about. Grades will be taken as such: Each group will staple their papers together. I will check a few distinct problems from each worksheet and the group will receive the combined score. So if your partner gets it wrong but you have it right and I check his paper...you miss out. Help your friends understand the material, or help them get help so your group has a strong score!!
